Plans submitted for Northern Ireland business park extension

Moymore Developments has submitted plans for a mixed-use extension of the Banbridge Business Park in County Down, Northern Ireland.

Moymore, a local consortium, plans:

  • a 212,992 sq ft (19,787 sq m) factory outlet centre
  • a 45,726 sq ft (4,248 sq m) department store
  • 432,293 (40,160 sq m) of non-food retail warehouse space
  • a hotel
  • 565,414 sq ft (52,527 sq m) of mixed industrial space

John Farmer, former chairman of Wyncote Group, has been reported to be joining with Moymore on the development of the factory outlet centre, following his decision to drop plans for a factory outlet centre at nearby Gilford Mill.

Moymore already has permission for a 90-acre (36ha) industrial park and a 60-bedroom hotel in Banbridge. It has also sought permission for a drive-thru restaurant, service station and convenience store.

It has also increased the total acreage of the development to 125 acres and sold on 10 acres to three local buyers for the development of their own projects.
