Plans have been drawn up for a £10m redevelopment of the Peblig Industrial Estate in North Wales.
FI Real Estate Management, one of the largest industrial land owners in the region, plans to redevelop the estate to create 38 new units for light industrial, manufacturing and logistics use and the refurbishment of a further 68,250 sq ft.
It has been working closely with Gwynedd County Council on a planning application that would see the demolition of the ageing units and the construction of modern, fit-for-purpose industrial space in its place.
FIREM is hoping to start on Caernarfon site in September with the redevelopment expected to be complete in approximately 18 months.
Existing businesses will be relocated from the blocks targeted for demolition to newer units on a site adjacent to the Afon Seiont river.
Founder and MD Tim Knowles said: “Our redevelopment of Peblig Industrial Estate is a continuation of our ambition to create modern and much-improved industrial space that befits growing and successful businesses in North Wales.”
The scheme will bring FIREM’s total investment in North Wales to over £160m.
It is currently also progressing plans to deliver a further 1.5m sq ft at Wrexham Industrial Estate.
