Plans in for new Scunthorpe business park

Lindum Group has lodged proposals to develop a business park on a 12.6-acre site to the north of Gallagher Retail Park in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire.

The site is currently used as agricultural land under crop rotation.

The scheme, to be known as Stratum Park, will offer three industrial and logistics warehouses ranging in size from 4,000 sq ft up to 150,000 sq ft. Overall, the buildings will total 204,514 sq ft.

The site is fully serviced, with access to water and power, and Lindum is expecting to kick off the construction of the facilities without delay, if approved, delivering the scheme within 12 months.

The proposed new business park will sit at the crossroads of the A18 and M181, linking to the M180, M18, and M62, allowing access to the cities of Hull, Sheffield, Leeds, York and Lincoln.

Occupiers at the established Gallagher Retail Park include Tesco Extra, Aldi, TK Maxx and B&Q. There is also a variety of fast-food options at the park, as well as a Hungry Horse pub and an M&S Foodhall.

Eddisons and Commercial Property Partners have been appointed to market the proposed development for prelets and potential sale.
