English Cities Fund has lodged plans for a 12-storey office at its New Bailey development in Salford, Greater Manchester.
The circa 293,000 sq ft office, Four New Bailey, is the last office to be delivered as part of ECF’s wider £650m New Bailey scheme.
The office building, which will also include more than 6,000 sq ft of retail space, has been designed by Make Architects.
Kayleigh Dixon, principal planner at DPP Planning, said: “Four New Bailey is the final element of the significant regeneration programme of this part of Salford and will act as a gateway to the New Bailey Masterplan area.”
Four New Bailey has been tipped for BT’s Manchester hub, which EG reported last year.
The telecoms giant had shortlisted four other contenders including Ask RE’s First Street, as well as its 100 and 101 Embankment, MEPC’s 4 Angel Square and Bruntwood SciTech’s Circle Square.
