Conygar has lodged plans for phase one of the £650m Island Quarter scheme in Nottingham.
Phase one of the development, called Canal Turn, will see a 21,528 sq ft three-storey waterside pavilion with two restaurants and 5,382 sq ft of events space built, along with public realm space, along the canal basin area.
Outline planning consent was granted by Nottingham City Council for the wider 40-acre Island Quarter masterplan in April last year, which will comprise new homes, grade-A office space, a hotel, PRS apartments, co-working space, student accommodation and a new park.
Conygar property director Christopher Ware said: “The ultimate vision is to create a unique place that will be seen as a worldwide destination for Nottingham, providing year-round interest and community facilities, and it will be a place for Nottingham to come together, to live, work and enjoy.”
