Plans for a 528-home scheme in East Leeds are likely to be given the go-ahead by Leeds City Council next week.
Persimmon Homes’ Morwick Green scheme on York Road comprises a mix of one- to four-bedroom homes, 15% of which will be affordable and 30% of which will be accessible housing.
The development forms part of the East Leeds extension, which spans 575.8 acres around the edge of Red Hall, Swarcliffe, Whinmoor and Crossgates and will deliver up to 5,000 homes.
Persimmon’s reserved matters application, filed in February last year, follows the grant of outline planning permission in August 2022 for 875 homes. The southern part of the site is currently being developed by Taylor Wimpey following the approval of two separate reserved matters applications in October last year for 293 homes.
