Persimmon has obtained planning permission for the development of mixed-use neighbourhood in Towcester Vale in Northamptonshire.
West Northamptonshire Council has granted permission to build 2,750 homes and a range of facilities within a main local centre and a support local centre.
The main local centre will consist of a 4,305 sq ft food store, 7,000 sq ft of retail space, a 4,305 sq ft restaurant, a 5,920 sq ft medical centre, a 5,920 sq ft nursery and a 4,305 sq ft community hall.
The support local centre will offer additional facilities, including 5,381 sq ft of space for shops or takeaways.
Additionally, a 200-bedroom hotel with conference facilities, a bar and restaurant will be built, covering 47,362 sq ft.
Employment land will be allocated to support 236,806 sq ft for office and light industrial uses, 113,021 sq ft for general industrial and 49,514 sq ft for storage and distribution.
The plan also includes the construction of two primary schools, each with two-form entry on two 5.2-acre sites. A sports pitch complex will also be built.
The development will include the Towcester relief road, linking the A5 to the A43, along with flood management and essential drainage works.
Construction is expected to begin in March next year.
