Persimmon Homes Anglia has bought the 16.5-acre (6.65ha) former Norfolk and Norwich hospital in Norwich from the National Health Service.
Persimmon plans to develop a £50m housing scheme, Fellowes' Plain, at the site, comprising 510 flats and houses.
