People and companies: Tritax hires new planning director

Sinead Turnbull (pictured, right) has joined Tritax Symmetry as planning director in the Northampton office.  She joins from DLP Planning where she headed up the Rugby office. In her new role, Turnbull’s remit will be to work with the development team on strategic logistics and infrastructure projects across the UK.

Law firm Trowers & Hamlins’ partner Fiona Thomson (pictured, left) has been appointed as its new head of real estate for Birmingham. She joined the firm in October 2019.

Mountpark has appointed Vishnu Reddy (pictured, second from right) as general counsel with responsibility for debt and treasury management.  He previously worked for at CBRE Capital Advisors.

Public Sector Plc has appointed Kate Howe (pictured, second left) as development manager to its team in the north of England. She joins from Muse Developments where she worked with councils across the North West, including Cheshire West and Chester, Salford and Wirral.

Savills auction team has hired Jeremy Lamb from online auction house BidX1. He joins as a director two years after BidX1 acquired his previous firm Andrews & Robertson.

Carter Jonas’ infrastructure & energy team has appointed Martin Williams from Community Windpower as an associate to work across its Warrington and Leeds offices. Tom Hilton has joined as a senior energy specialist based in the Cambridge office.

Principle Estate Management has recruited Adrian Archer as property manager. He has more than 35 years’ experience and was previously regional operations manager and associate partner with SDL Bigwood.

Online lettings agent Rentify has appointed Elizabeth Woods as a senior negotiator. She joins from Knight Frank.

Savills has recruited Bas Kamperman as an associate director within its valuation team at its Amsterdam office. He has previously worked for Cushman & Wakefield.

NHBC has appointed Guy Lambert to the role of head of marketing and communications. He previously held roles at Countryside Properties and Linden Homes.

Adam Watson has been promoted to associate at Fox Lloyd Jones, where he specialises in project and development management. He joined the firm in 2017 and specialises in project and development management. Will Smithies has joined from Bowman Riley and will support the building surveying and project management teams.

Stone Estate.Swiss Management AG has appointed Alastair Manning as managing director and head of asset management. He has more than 15 years of experience in real estate asset management, acquisitions and disposals.

Montagu Evans has promoted Lucy Markham and Timur Tatlioglu, specialists in heritage and townscape planning, to partners. Adam O’Neale who works as out of town retail and leisure lease adviser, has also been promoted to partner. In the London office, Angus Marlow-Thomas has been promoted to partner in the London office agency team.

Birketts has appointed Jonathan Hulley as a partner in its social housing team from Capsticks.

Keith Blizzard has been appointed as head of the construction and engineering team at Harrison Clark Rickerbys. He takes over the role from Andrew James who remains a partner at the firm.

Law firm Burges Salmon has appointed partner Ross Simpson to the firm’s real estate team. He specialises in land and rural property.

Ian Tant, past president of the Royal Town Planning Institute has been appointed vice president of the Commonwealth Association of Planners. CAP is a volunteer-based global organisation, founded more than 40 years ago to represent planners across the Commonwealth.

Harris Lamb has promoted Andy Smith to director, John Pearce to associate and Sara Garratt to senior surveyor

Karsten Sievers has joined Savills as director and team leader of national investment for Germany. Based in the Frankfurt office the team will support the local investment teams both on a regional and national level. He previously worked for Jones Lang LaSalle.

Steve Quartermain, former chief planner for the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, has joined Cratus Communications in a thought leadership, strategic and advisory role. During his 12-year career at MHCLG he was responsible for the planning system, bringing forward the National Planning Policy Framework and changing the way planning is seen in government.
