People and companies: St Modwen Properties appoints non-executive director

Chris Cummings (pictured, right) has joined Savills as head of technical sustainability in the City of London office. He has more than 24 years’ experience in environmental and sustainability delivery.

Dame Alison Nimmo (pictured, left) has been appointed as a non-executive director at St Modwen Properties. She has more than 30 years’ experience in the real estate sector and was formerly chief executive of the Crown Estate.

Cromwell Property Group has recruited Pertti Vanhanen to the role of managing director for Europe. He was previously global co-head of real estate at Aberdeen Standard Investments.

Carter Jonas has recruited Neal Allcock as a partner to lead its planning and development division in Birmingham. Molly Stanley has joined as a graduate planner.

Sam Berry and Tim Sanders have joined CBRE’s northern planning and development team as graduates.

Former Harworth chief executive Owen Michaelson has joined the advisory board of Godwin Developments as regional chairman – London.

The Howard De Walden Estate has appointed Karl Sternberg as a non-executive director. He is a founding partner of Oxford Investment Partners.

Avison Young has appointed Chris Terry as an associate director in its commercial agency team in Cardiff. He has 20 years’ experience covering all aspects of commercial office agency in South Wales.

London-based asset and development manager Astrea has promoted Stuart Clifton to head of asset management. He joined Astrea from Squadron Properties following the transfer of an asset management mandate in 2017.

Quadrant has appointed James Honeyman as a partner. He joins from British Land, where he was a senior asset manager.

Haslams has promoted Harry Bevins to associate in the commercial agency and development team.

Law firm Rosling King has moved to new premises at 55 Ludgate Hill, EC4.

Anne-Marie Nicholson has joined Marchese Partners as principal, where she will leverage her expertise to grow the firm’s portfolio of later living clients in the UK. She joins the firm from PRP.

Fisher German has hired Tom Lockton as an associate director to head the firm’s valuation team in the South West.

Eversheds Sutherland has hired Phillip Birchall as a partner. He joins from Pinsent Masons and will work in its real estate team in Manchester.

Pantera Property has appointed former King Sturge partner Colin Fell as non‑executive chairman.

Optimum Asset Management has appointed ex-CBRE director Nick Hill as head of distribution to build on the firm’s institutional client base and drive fundraising activity.

Adair Paxton has appointed Michelle Green as property manager and Will Parker as commercial property manager. Molly Beale has been hired as lettings administrator and Jan Seymour as secretary.
