People and companies: Sheppard Robson appoints new head of sustainability

Alison O’Reilly (left) has joined Sheppard Robson as head of sustainability. She will work alongside lead sustainability partner Alan Shingler across all offices promoting responsible practices, advancing sustainable thinking and working with the wider built environment industries.

Knight Frank in Bristol has appointed Craig Wallace (right) as a partner in its residential investment and development valuation and advisory team. He joins from Lambert Smith Hampton and will provide valuation services to institutions, local authorities, residential property developers and investors on schemes across the South West, south Wales and the south of England.

PGIM Real Estate has hired Musie Bocrezian as executive director and head of transactions for Italy, based in its office in Milan.

Halton Group has appointed Carola Puusteli as a member of the board.

Quinta Group has appointed Neal Hunter as development director from Great George Street Developments in Liverpool. He will assist with the delivery of the company’s current £20m development pipeline as well as identifying new opportunities across the North West and the Midlands.

Mayer Brown has appointed Simon Price as a partner. He joins the law firm’s real estate practice in London in September from Linklaters and is experienced in investment platforms, joint ventures, and the acquisition and disposal of real estate assets and holding structures.

Godwin Developments has appointed Michael Brough as consultant in its acquisitions team to lead its national strategy expansion. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the property industry and specialises in residential and mixed-use developments.

Shaftesbury has appointed Matt Smith to the role of head of sustainability.  He was previously the interim head of sustainability at the Crown Estate and is experienced in the development of net zero carbon strategies and the creation of places that have a positive impact on people’s health and wellbeing.

Law firm Wedlake Bell has hired Brad Fearn as a senior associate in its construction team. He joins from Jones Day and has more than 20 years’ experience advising on construction and infrastructure projects in the UK and abroad.

Haq Nawaz has joined the finance team at Principle Estate Management.

Caudwell Collection has appointed Reynald Lapitz as chief executive to head up its portfolio in the south of France. He joins from VINCI Construction, where he was project director of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in London.

Alan Rubenstein has been appointed as the new NHBC chair from 1 June. He replaces Isabel Hudson, who is stepping down after serving three full terms since 2011.

Avison Young has promoted Anna Greenwood to the role of senior surveyor in its real estate management team in Newcastle. She joined the firm in 2017 and works on instructions for clients in the public and private sectors, which have included Logicor, Homes England and Taras Properties.
