Redrow has promoted Claire Jarvis (pictured left) to the role of group sales director. Jarvis has extensive experience across the housebuilding and wider property sectors, and will provide strategic leadership to Redrow’s sales teams across all of its regional divisions. She joined the firm in 2012 as a sales and marketing director for the Lancashire division.
Law firm Shoosmiths has recruited planning and development partner Karen Howard (pictured second from left) to its London real estate team. She has more than 30 years’ experience in complex planning law issues, including large mixed-use schemes and infrastructure development. Howard joins from DLA Piper.
Hammerson has named James Lenton (pictured second from right) as chief financial officer and executive director. Lenton is experienced in financing, rigorous capital allocation and business transformation, and previously worked for AIG.
LCR has appointed former St. Modwen Properties group finance director Michael Dunn (pictured right) to the board. He joins as a non-executive director of the business, which transforms public sector real estate assets to deliver homes, jobs and public value. Dunn will chair LCR’s audit and risk committee.
Mount Anvil has promoted James Owen to land director. He will work to source, appraise and negotiate new land acquisitions for the company’s expanding development pipeline. Owen joined the firm in 2007 and has played an integral role in the acquisition of two Mount Anvil flagship developments – The Silk District in Whitechapel, and Keybridge in Vauxhall.
Law firm Birketts has appointed Deborah Sharples as a partner in its planning and environmental team, based in the Ipswich office. She was previously a partner and head of planning and environment at Hewitsons.
Phil Dean has joined Newcastle-based Samuel Phillips Law as head of commercial property. He holds more than 20 years of legal expertise in the commercial property sector, working with clients across the north of England.
Arbnor Salihi has joined Alpha Real Capital as an associate director in the investment acquisitions and asset management team. He joins from Allsop’s valuation team.
Eversheds Sutherland has appointed Mark Collins and Kate Perevoshchikova as technologists, to drive the use of technology and other innovative solutions across the real estate practice.
Elaine Bald has been appointed by FirstPort Scotland as business development manager, growing the business’ profile to new build and retirement property developers. Bald has more than 25 years of experience in property management in Scotland, and has worked at senior management levels with Redpath Bruce, Ross and Liddell and RMG.
London-based Graphicks has hired Elinor Riley as a design director to head up the creative team. She previously worked at Saentys.
CPMG Architects opened a new Birmingham office at The Lewis Building, in Bull Street, B4 6EQ. The office will be headed up by director Anil Parmar.
Oxford Properties Group has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of Dean Hopkins as chief operations officer. Jo McNamara becomes managing director, head of Europe, and David Matheson takes on the role of managing director, head of Asia Pacific. Eric Plesman and Chad Remis, who lead Oxford’s north American business, have been appointed as executive vice presidents.
Carolyn Duncan has joined Ellandi as management accountant. She has nine years’ experience working in fund and management accountant roles within infrastructure and commercial real estate. Richard Draycott has joined the finance team, and Christina Beggan has joined the asset manager team. Ruth Moorhouse has been made associate director and Ryan Woock has joined the research and analytics team. Shaye Edwards has been recruited as team assistant and Charlotte Stevenson as office manager.
Savills has hired Carina Ohlander as chief finance operator for Savills Sweden, and Krister Johansson as head of client accounting in its Swedish property management division. Both are based in the Savills Stockholm office.
Chestertons has appointed ex-Knight Frank partner Robert Adams as sales director at its South Kensington office. He has more than 20 years’ property business experience, having managed numerous residential sales teams, offices and landmark deals across prime central London.
MHA London has appointed Adrian Wallace as chief executive officer, from 1st September 2019.
Gerald Eve has relocated its Birmingham office to 45 Church Street, B3 2RT. Joining the new office is industrial specialist John Sambrooks, and strategic land expert Sam Skinner.
Debbie Aplin, former exec with Crest Nicholson and Berkeley Group, has joined Click Properties and Click Above as a non-executive director. She will help the team capitalise on current and future growth opportunities.
