Savills Ireland has promoted Mark Reynolds (pictured left) to the position of managing director. He was made deputy managing director in March 2019 and has spent 13 years as head of the development and consultancy division. Prior to that, he worked across the business’s retail, asset management and consultancy operations, both in Ireland and in London. Reynolds replaces Angus Potterton, who will take on the role of chairman.
The board of NHS Property Services has appointed Martin Steele (pictured second from left) as its acting chief executive officer. He assumes the role having been chief operating officer since 2017. Since January he has led the organisation’s strategic and operational response to the current coronavirus pandemic. Since joining NHSPS as COO he has successfully overseen the operational arm and delivered cost-effective services to NHS customers.
Helen Newman (pictured second from right) has joined CBRE as head of sustainability consultancy in its building consultancy division in the UK. She has nearly 20 years’ experience within the sustainability sector, working in commercial real estate for the past seven years. Newman previously worked at TFT Consulting. Patrick Staunton and Simon Kelly have joined the sustainability consultancy team as health and wellness lead and engagement lead respectively.
Architecture, planning and design firm CallisonRTKL has appointed Ashraf Fahmy (pictured right) as chief financial officer and as a member of the strategic mergers and acquisitions team. Based in the Washington, DC office, he joins from CHA Inc. where he was senior vice president of finance. Prior to that, he was chief financial officer of AMEC Foster Wheeler and regional controller at URS Corporation.
West Midlands-based Holt Commercial has hired Andrew Oliver to its valuation team. He has more than 30 years’ experience in commercial property valuations and previously worked at BNP Paribas and, most recently, Towler Shaw Roberts in Wolverhampton. In his role at Holt Commercial, Oliver will be drawing on his expertise to conduct valuations for banks, SIPPs, pension funds and property companies, together with private valuations.
Meyer Bergman has appointed Josip Kardun as chief investment officer to expand the business across mixed-use assets in Europe. He was previously chief executive of Blackstone’s Multi Corporation, where he managed more than €10bn (£8.9bn) of assets in 14 countries. Prior to this, he was chief executive at Atrium European Real Estate and spent seven years at German real estate group ECE.
Colliers international has appointed Pierre Kunkler as a director in its retail capital markets team. He joins from Time Retail, which he joined in 2017. Kunkler has more than 10 years’ experience in the retail capital markets sector and has acted for clients including institutions, property companies, developers and high-net-worth investors. At Colliers he will report to Tom Edson, head of the department, and will focus on all aspects of retail investments, advising clients to buy and sell real estate opportunities.
Formed Architects has appointed Vesta Piaulokaite to the role of office manager as part of its team growth and expansion plans.
FirethornTrust has appointed Robert Kempster as development manager. He previously held project management roles at Currie & Brown and Sweett Group. Serena Tate has joined as finance manager and Harriet Proud has been appointed as executive assistant and office manager.
Robin Daniels has joined Matterport as chief marketing officer and will report to chief executive RJ Pittman. He was previously chief marketing officer at WeWork.
Katrin Poos will manage RLI Investors’ new branch office in Berlin. She has extensive expertise in national and international asset and acquisition management, developed over a 25-year career, and will be responsible for asset management across Europe.
Real estate investment company Aprirose has appointed Robert Bindless as head of transactions and legal. He will be responsible for the management and delivery of its acquisition and disposal pipeline. Robert Kennedy has been appointed as vice president of asset management to maximise value through active asset management activities across the company’s portfolio.
Tom Eddolls has joined the Cardiff office of Knight Frank as a graduate surveyor, where he will study for his APC qualification and will also work across the firm’s office agency, valuation and residential development teams.
