Octopus Real Estate has strengthened its development lending team with the appointment of Andy Scott (pictured, left) to head of residential development. He joins from Secure Trust Bank.
McCarthy Stone has appointed Fiona Carleton (pictured, right) as managing director of its services division. She will be responsible for all property management, care and support services delivered within its retirement communities.
Expedite Group has appointed Nick Simmonds as managing director to assist occupiers with their commercial property requirements. He joins from The Workplace Company.
Law firm Seddons has appointed John Wevill as a partner and head of construction from Boodle Hatfield.
Pluto Finance has appointed Matthew Tucker as construction director to its London-based team. He joins from JLL, where he spent three years as associate director responsible for development monitoring.
Knight Frank has boosted its valuation and advisory team with the appointment of Nick Moisey as associate; Ollie Holland and Ben Whittington as senior surveyors; Will McGovern as a surveyor; Luke van Vuuren as an analyst; and Louise Fuller as partner. Cate Statham has joined as senior chartered building surveyor in the residential building consultancy department.
Lawyer Stefano D’Ambrosio has joined Irwin Mitchell’s planning and environment team and will advise on all aspects of environmental law.
JLL has promoted director Chris Walters to head of life sciences. Walters has been with the firm for 10 years and joined the life sciences team as its investor and developer lead when it was formed in 2019.
Charles Twist has joined Viewranks Estate as asset and operations manager. He previously headed up the lease advisory team at Farebrother.
Harris Lamb has expanded its environmental consultancy department with the appointment Liam Murtagh and Abigail Lloyd as assistant ecologists. They previously worked at Delta Simmons Environmental Consultants.
BDB Pitmans has recruited Alex Barnes as corporate tax partner from Memery Crystal. He has experience in both corporate and real estate tax matters.
Joe Sinclair has joined B8 Real Estate as investment surveyor dealing with industrial and distribution property across the North. He joins from Bruntwood.
Jason Kidd has joined the valuation team at Vail Williams as a senior surveyor to support the firm’s growth in Sussex.
Grosvenor Group has appointed Melanie Gee as non-executive chair of Grosvenor Britain & Ireland. She will succeed Jonathon Bond in the role of chair from September.
Insurance broker Lockton has expanded its global construction practice with the appointment of James Cook as deputy international practice leader, Steve Leeming as senior vice president, and Lewis Coward as head of placement.
Squire Patton Boggs has appointed Jonathan Lent as partner. Bradley Silver joins as a director in its real estate practice, and senior associates Beatrice Sidi and Andrea Zemenides join the financial services practice.
CBRE has appointed Richard Hughes as a senior director and head of lease consultancy for the Midlands and South West. He joins from Savills.
