Living Space Housing has appointed Phil Morgan (pictured left) as production manager to the affordable housing senior management team. He has joined from Crest Nicholson Homes, where he held the position of contracts manager.
Industrial agent and property adviser Ruth Leighton (pictured second from left) has been promoted to director at Avison Young. She has been with the firm for nearly 20 years and has worked with national and regional institutional investors, developers, funds and property companies.
BNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed leasing expert Dan Bayley (pictured second from right) to lead its new tenant representation team. He has spent more than 25 years with the business and is its co-head of central London offices. The new team will provide expert advice across lease advisory, strategy and building consultancy, as well as working alongside the firm’s occupier solutions team, led by Tom Bolland.
Avison Young has made the following principal appointments to its management team in its UK offices: Nicola Rigby (pictured right) in Manchester; William Blockley, Jonathan Burton, Nick Coombs, Paul Dickenson, and Mark Kidd in London; Adrian Griffith and Claire McHugh in Birmingham; Ben Lovell and John Mansell in Bristol; Edward Coxon in Liverpool; Robert Newton in Edinburgh; and Caroline Pooley, nationally.
London-based chartered surveyors Brecker Grossmith has appointed Phil Richards as commercial asset manager and head of professional services. He joined from Aston Rose where he was an associate director.
Dunmoore has appointed Alex Marshall as development director from Bankfoot Development. He will lead the firm’s projects and source new opportunities with the investment team. Chris Brooksbank has joined as investment surveyor from Avison Young and will deliver the execution of both ongoing and new value-add intensive asset management strategies. Myles Hanson-Vaux has been promoted to finance director. He joined the company a year ago as head of finance from City Office REIT in Vancourver.
Stephen Greenhalgh has been appointed as joint minister for housing, communities and local government. He will take an unpaid role, supporting housing secretary Robert Jenrick and newly appointed housing minister Christopher Pincher. Greenhalgh previously held the post of London’s deputy mayor for policing, between 2012 and 2016.
Savills has promoted Emma Steele, Catherine Tilley, Henry Timmis and Andrew Wedderspoon to director positions in its central London and international team.
Law firm Lester Aldridge Newly has announced its newly qualified solicitors include Jade Hawksworth and Hannah Gilling in the Southampton real estate team and Erin Collins and Ashley Brown in the Bournemouth litigation and recoveries team.
Real Estate Balance has appointed former British Property Federation chief executive Liz Peace as its new chair. She will work with new managing director Sue Brown to oversee the strategic direction of REB, chairing a management committee comprising of men and women leaders from across real estate, working together to secure a future in which women represent half the industry’s senior positions.

Savills has acquired the US project management firm Macro Consultants. The acquisition accelerates the expansion and scope of its existing advisory and management service platform in North America, seeking to deliver tier-one project management and consulting solutions to its global client base.
Galbraith has appointed Martin Cassels as its new chief executive officer from 1 April. He will succeed Pam Over, who will remain a partner of Galbraith and a member of the commercial team.

Savills’ Irish arm has hired former Nama executive Mary Birmingham as a consultant in its development and consultancy division. She spent eight years at Ireland’s National Asset Management Agency, where she was head of asset management and a member of the senior executive team.
