People and companies: LendInvest appoints CBRE’s head of loan advisory

LendInvest has appointed Anurag Sharma (pictured left) as a fund manager. He joins from CBRE where he was a senior director and head of loan advisory. In his new role, he will be responsible for managing multiple portfolios of assets for investors.

BDP has appointed Rachel Bishop (centre) to lead its interior design team at its Manchester studio. She joins from architect tp bennett in Manchester where she was project director.

Avison Young has appointed Sarah Brunt (pictured right) as head of accounts in its national property management team. She previously worked for care home provider Sanctuary Care.

CBRE has appointed Richard Bamford as managing director of its Leeds office. He has been part of the firm for more than 25 years and will continue to lead the national building consultancy teams.

UK digital mortgage broker Trussle has appointed Ian Larkin as chief executive.

Colliers International has hired Tom Kilkenny as an associate director in its hospitality asset management team. He joins from Magna Group.

Birmingham consultancy MK2 Real Estate has appointed Ross Cuthbert from Gerald Eve as an associate director in the investment team. Chris Rice joins as senior surveyor from Savills and senior surveyor Renu Suthi has joined from Workman.

BLG has appointed Fintan O’Riordan as business development director. He was previously head of Paragon Banking Group’s development finance team.

Ross McCaskill will step down as finance director and company secretary of Conygar Investment on 6 April. He has been with the business since 2010.

Offices iQ has hired Paul Swift as enterprise solutions director. Based in London, he will work with corporate clients in developing strategic plans for the integration of flexible space into commercial real estate portfolios.

John Turner has joined Lester Aldridge’s dispute resolution team as a director. He has experience in party wall and construction disputes.

Legal & General Capital has appointed Jasan Fitzpatrick as managing director of principal investment, responsible for its investments in venture capital and SME finance, build-to-rent and affordable housing.

Turley has appointed Lauren Thiede-Palmer as a planner in the London team. Ben Gurney joins as senior consultant from LUC. Thomas Upton and Arslan Iqbal have joined the development viability team as senior surveyor and assistant planning and development surveyor, respectively.

Knight Frank’s Kensington office has appointed James Pace, proprietary partner and head of its Chelsea office, to lead its sales team. William Allen joins as a partner from Strutt & Parker, and Tom Van Straubenzee will take on a strategic role to assist vendors and buyers. In the Chelsea office, Charles Olver has been promoted to department head for sales. He was previously prime central London negotiator in the Knightsbridge office.

Former Colliers International and CBRE recruitment director Tom McNally has launched Madison Lincoln, a real estate recruitment business. Backed by Madison Berkeley, the company will offer an executive search service to the senior sector of the real estate industry.

SEGRO has appointed James Craddock as business unit director for Thames Valley, where he will be responsible for growing the business and will oversee the group’s customer data centre. David Proctor has been made group director of investment and will be responsible for optimising and driving the performance of the group’s property portfolio.

David Reid has joined Legal & General Capital as senior investment manager. He will be responsible for managing LGC’s existing rental housing investments and identifying new investment opportunities. He joins from Rowan Asset Management where he was a director.

James Hall has joined Rebbeck Brothers as a property manager at its offices in Bournemouth.

Abodus Student Living has appointed Hassan Farrukh as estates manager. He will have UK-wide responsibility for capital works and lifecycle and maintenance strategies.

Monmouth Dean has recruited Oliva Stapleton to assist with the letting and disposal of offices for the firm’s landlord clients. She previously worked at Canmoor.

Ian Hardman has joined Colliers International as director of risk management. He brings more than 20 years’ experience to the team and previously worked for Savills, JLL and CBRE.

Devonshire Homes has appointed Jane Pearce and Cris Neale as joint acting managing directors. They both previously held senior positions at the Tiverton-based housebuilder.
