Victoria Ormond (pictured left) has joined Knight Frank’s commercial research team as a partner and will lead the capital markets research team. Ormond has 15 years’ experience in commercial real estate and joins from Savills Investment Management.
Harriet Clarke (pictured second from left) has been recruited as head of PwC’s real estate legal team’s corporate real estate practice. She joins from Osborne Clarke.
Louis Hamston (pictured second from right) has joined Acorn Property Group’s new Exeter office as development manager. He previously worked for Ballymore and Berkeley Homes and will be responsible for managing the delivery of Acorn’s Devon-based projects.
Galliford Try has appointed Graham Prothero (pictured right) as chief executive. He succeeds Peter Truscott.
CBRE has appointed Simon Henderson to its property management senior leadership team based in the Glasgow office. He joins from JLL and has more than 20 years’ experience and will oversee the delivery of CBRE’s managed portfolios and assets.
Kennedy Wilson Europe has promoted Mike Pegler to head of its UK business. In the newly created role he will be responsible for all UK acquisitions and asset management as well as supporting the firm’s capital raising work.
Steve Jackson has joined Redrow as sales director. Based at the regional headquarters in Wakefield, he will oversee the sales operation for developments in Green Hammerton and York in the North and Thongsbridge, Highburton and Scissett in the Huddersfield area.
Malcolm Hollis has appointed Tom James and Oliver Ansell as building surveyors in Birmingham. James Gibbs joins the Manchester office as a surveyor in the measured surveys team. Kevin Grego has been appointed to the Belfast office as a senior associate. Richard De Rooij joins the Amsterdam office as a consultant. In the London City office Steve Clarke joins as a senior chartered building surveyor in the project management team. Ross Uren joins the Bristol office as a senior chartered building surveyor.
Law firm Lodders has appointed property litigation specialist Ellie Crofts as an associate. Priscilla Macleod joins as a solicitor in the real estate practice.
Godwin Capital has recruited senior debt funding consultant Stan Lersch. He has more than 20 years’ lending experience in the property market.
James Bentley of Spring Building Consultancy has passed his APC and is now a qualified chartered surveyor.
Real estate private equity firm Madison International Realty has promoted Matthias Cordier in Frankfurt and Alex Lukesch in London to managing directors.
Higgins has appointed Yaseen Parkar as director of technical services and Mark Francis as group finance director.
CPMG Architects has appointed Richard Flisher as managing director. A chartered architect, Flisher delivered the UK’s first carbon-negative, PassivHaus-certified office building.
The Home Builders Federation has appointed Neil Jefferson as managing director, commencing in 2020.
Richard Hill has joined law firm White & Case as a partner in its construction practice in London.
Tom Gaydon has joined Flexible Office Space as a consultant advising property owners on how to enter the serviced office market and on the acquisition of new sites.
The Leeds office of CBRE has promoted Sam Potrykus and Lee Robertshaw to associate directors in the operational real estate and property management teams respectively. Sophie Angus has been promoted to senior surveyor in the Industrial team.
Charlotte Boyle joins Knight Frank as a non-executive adviser, effective from 1 September.
Orchard Street Investment Management has appointed Dawn Marie La Monica to head of compliance and risk.
Eversheds Sutherland has appointed Thekla Fellas as a partner in the real estate litigation team. Thekla will join the team on 1 April.
The London studio of global architecture and design firm Perkins+Will has appointed Jason Turner as associate principal to its workplace strategy services.
JLL’s Cardiff office has appointed Justin Millett as lead director alongside his role as head of capital markets in Wales. Paul Champken has been promoted to head of building consultancy; Sarah Hazell joins as a surveyor in the building team; Andrew Flower has been made an associate specialising in business rates advice; Heather Lawrence has been appointed as head of industrial agency; and Kate Openshaw has joined the agency team as a graduate surveyor.
The Local Enterprise Partnership board has appointed Paul Corcoran, managing director at Agent Marketing, as deputy chair, and Elaine Bowker, principal at Liverpool City College, as equality and diversity champion.
