People and companies: Countryside strengthens executive management team

Countryside has appointed Victoria Prior (left) to the executive management team led by Iain McPherson. She joined the business five years ago and was promoted to managing director of corporate affairs in March this year. In her role as part of the EMT, she will continue leading the investor relations programme and advise on operational aspects of the business.

Network Space has promoted Catherine Chilvers (right) to development director. She joined the firm in 2016 as senior development manager and is a member of the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership’s built environment board.

MetroPM has appointed Ian Smallman as a director. He joins Matthew Arnold, the founder and managing director of the company, which was established in 2006.

Highwood has appointed Steve Matthews as managing director, replacing Guy Hayward who has retired. Phil Prosser has been made business development director.

Areaworks has hired Markus Malik as acting chief financial officer. He has more than 25 years’ experience working for finance and professional service companies and joins from Stirling Ackroyd Legal.

Riverstone has appointed Natalie-Jane Macdonald as non-executive director. She is UK chief executive of Sunrise Senior Living and chairman of Nuffield Health.

Fletcher Bond has appointed Andrew Murdoch as director. He joins from lender Together, where he was group valuations manager.

Global Mutual has appointed Rachel Scott as head of leasing in the affinity outlets team. She will work with Nicky Lovell to support the delivery of strategic asset management and leasing initiatives across its outlet portfolio in Staffordshire, Lancashire, Devon and Sterling Mills in Scotland.

Nottinghamshire estate agent Gascoines has appointed Jess Mitchell as office manager at the Southwell branch. Nick Lawton has joined as a new homes and land development consultant.

Michael McDowall has joined HFD Group as property director to support its growth and commitment to sustainability and the expansion of its serviced office offering. He joins from London & Scottish Investments, where he spent five years as a senior asset manager.

Colliers International has appointed Chris Lewis as director and head of South East office investment in its national capital markets team. He joins from Cushman & Wakefield, where he spent 15 years, most recently as partner in the investment team.

Savista Developments has appointed Karen Green as land director to oversee the acquisition of sought-after care home development locations across the South of England. Claire Johnsen joins as head of innovation and will oversee the launch of an innovation challenge run in partnership with its sister company, Hallmark Care Homes.

Jonathon Matthews has been appointed group managing director of M&G Property and Development Consultants and McLaughlins chartered surveyors, to spearhead the group’s expansion plans. He was formerly head of CBRE’s residential valuation business in the UK regions and latterly worked as a regional valuer at Valunation.
