People and companies: Cheffins appoint new equity partner

Sarah Bush (pictured left) has been named equity partner at Cheffins. Bush has been head of the lettings department at the firm since 2016.

Sarah Pettefar (pictured second from left) has joined Banks Long & Co as an associate director and will work alongside associate director Emma Surphlis. Pettefar is a specialist in property management and has worked in commercial, industrial and office sector sales, rent reviews and lease renewals and valuations.

Macaulay Thompson (pictured second from right) has joined Dacre, Son & Hartley as letting manager and will cover the Skipton and Keighley areas.

Cromwell Property Group has appointed Matthew Bird (pictured right) as head of UK. Bird has more than 20 years’ commercial real estate experience, most recently as director and head of commercial at Octane Capital.

Arney Fender Katsalidis has hired residential specialist Jonathan Clarke as a director. Clarke was the former principal of Woods Bagot, and has extensive experience in delivering residential, hotel, workplace and retail projects worldwide.

Sage Housing has appointed Brian Ham as director of acquisitions. He joins from Home Group where he was director of development. Ham will lead Sage’s national programme to deliver affordable homes for rent and shared ownership.

Malcolm Hassan has joined Sanne as managing director of business development and marketing to oversee business development alongside brand and market positioning across its global platform.

WeWork has appointed Kat Hartigan as vice president of enterprise. Based in London, Hartigan will be responsible for driving the sales strategy and go-to-market execution across WeWork’s EMEA region for WeWork office spaces.

Izzy Vyvyan, a surveyor at Carter Jonas in Cambridge, has been appointed to the BCO’s Midlands & East Anglia committee, as part of the Midlands Council. Vyvyan has also been appointed to the NextGen committee.

Kamil Szymański has been promoted to head of the industrial agency team at Savills in Poland.

Town Centre Securities has recruited Alice Garrett as trainee asset manager for the Merrion Centre.

Law firm Dillon Eustace has recruited Fiona O’Neill as consultant to the real estate practice. O’Neill is a construction law specialist with more than 30 years’ experience.

Burlington Green Partners has appointed Sam Bacon as an investment and development surveyor.

AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets has appointed Stuart Carr-Jones to the post of head of UK, Ireland and emerging Europe transactions. He will be responsible for the origination and execution of investment opportunities, including due diligence and negotiation, in the UK, Ireland and emerging Europe. He joins from JPMorgan Asset Management.

Mike Foster has been appointed new managing director for LDA Design. He joined the company in 2001 and is an expert in masterplanning and landscape design for complex, large-scale mixed-use and residential developments and for nationally significant infrastructure projects.

Palm Capital, the pan-European real estate private equity specialist, has appointed Gabriel Rudert as a director, heading up its European asset management activities. He joins from GreenOak, where he was a principal, focusing on asset management across Europe.

Colliers International Bristol has promoted Amy Brooksbank to associate director in the parks, sports and marinas team. Ed Jefferson and James Skelly have been appointed as senior surveyors in the hotels agency and the rating team, respectively.

Turley has appointed Angela Reeve as head of planning for the Midlands. Colin Morrison has been promoted to senior director and will lead the firm’s national sustainability and EIA services.

Laura Butcher has joined Scottish Land & Estates as head of communications.

Savills has recruited Mark Scrivens as an associate in its building and projects consultancy team in the Oxford office. He joins from Aecom.

Farebrother has appointed Nick Willson and Nick Patterson as partners. Wilson specialises in the Midtown, City fringe and South Bank, and Patterson provides real estate advice to occupiers across central London. They will also become partners of Union Street Partners, the firm’s South Bank joint venture consultancy with Tuckerman.

David Reid has joined Rowan as a director. He will work with chief executive Nick Jacobs to spearhead a strategic growth strategy for the business working across investment and development, asset management and corporate advisory.

Avison Young has promoted Andrew Rogers and James Yates as directors in the firm’s Leeds office.

Eddisons in Manchester has appointed David Rose as an associate director and Ashley Parkinson as a senior building surveyor in the valuations and building and projects consultancy teams.
