People and companies: CBRE appoints associate director in Leeds

CBRE has appointed Matthew Kirkham (pictured, left) as associate director in its Leeds building consultancy team. He joins from AECOM and has 20 years’ experience in building services design and MEP project management in both consultancy and contracting industries.

Quadrant has hired Yohance Harper (pictured, second left) as an associate partner. He joins the investment team from CBRE’s capital advisory department and will work on key projects which includes 30 South Colonnade, E14.

Industrial asset management firm NSM has recruited Sandy Ratcliffe (pictured, second from right) as property & asset manager. He joins from Legat Owen where he focused on commercial lettings and sales.

Rider Levett Bucknall has appointed Sarah Draper (pictured, right) to its senior leadership board as head of people and culture. She takes over the role from Hilary Richardson, who is retiring following 30 years with the business.

Knight Frank has appointed James Redman as partner as head of its lease advisory team in Bristol. He joins from Alder King Bristol, where he worked within the professional services team and undertook landlord & tenant and valuation work.

Sovereign Centros has appointed Tom Nutall as an asset manager working across its firm’s retail and leisure projects. He previously worked at Grosvenor Fund Management and Workman, advising clients on the management and strategy of commercial property asset classes.

Hollis partner Anne Johnstone has joined the board of Construction Scotland Innovation Centre, which connects businesses to leading academic expertise. She has two decades’ experience advising on the impact of environmental liabilities within the commercial property market.

LCR has promoted the following to regional directors: Ray Willis, London and South region; Adam Wisher, North West; and Catherine Birks, Yorkshire and the North East. Steve White has been promoted to head of commercial asset management. Alice Clerkin has joined as business manager and will oversee the partnerships and property team.

Brinda Granthrai has joined JPC as a partner in the real estate team. She joins from Judge Sykes Frixou and specialises in commercial and residential property.

Primonial has appointed Bettina Ducat as deputy chief executive, responsible for asset management and managing director of La Financière de l’Echiquier. She will take up her position on 1 July.

Colliers International Toronto has appointed Jane Gavan to its board of directors. She is president of asset management at Dream Unlimited and has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate industry.

Principle Estate Management has appointed Stephen Downing to the role of property manager to oversee its larger and more complex developments. He has nearly 14 years’ multidisciplinary experience in the property sector and his most recent role was as property manager for HML PM.

Central London development manager CO-RE has appointed British Land’s George Axson as associate director. He has more than 20 years’ experience delivering commercial, residential and mixed-use schemes across London and will support CO-RE’s growing pipeline of landmark developments.

AI-powered real estate data provider RE5Q has appointed Duncan Owen to its board as non-executive director. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the real estate sector and is skilled in developing growth and investment approaches across the industry. Owen is currently global head of real estate at Schroders.

Hines UK has recruited Alexandra Gumuchian as an asset manager in the student housing team from iQ Student Accommodation. She will manage its 11 student housing assets in the UK and Ireland. Mickey Scott joins as asset manager in the industrial and logistics team, where he will be responsible for managing its portfolio of UK logistics assets, both within its joint venture portfolio with Chancerygate and those managed on behalf of the firm’s discretionary funds.

IPSX has appointed Dan Phillips and Mike Coker to its leadership team as head of market regulation and chief financial officer.

Hampshire and Berkshire-based Pro Vision has hired Peter Kershaw as a senior planning consultant.
