Crickmay Chartered Surveyors has recruited surveyor Ciara Bolsover (pictured left), who will be responsible for its property management. She joins from Ashdown Phillips and has worked on offices, industrial, retail shopping centres and residential property portfolios.
Public Sector has appointed John Webber (pictured second from left) as chief financial officer. He joins from Legal & General Asset Management, where he led the finance function for six real estate funds and joint ventures.
Carter Jonas has appointed Karen Lyne (pictured second from right) as a residential block manager in its residential portfolio letting and management team. She has more than 10 years’ residential management experience and joins from D&G Block Management. The PLM team is led by partner Andrew Walker.
Knight Frank has appointed surveyor John MacArthur (pictured right) as an associate in its building consultancy division in Scotland. He joins from Tighean Innse Gall.
Avison Young has appointed Helen Palgrave and James MacMullen to its property management consultancy team.
Financial services firm Barings has appointed John Ockerbloom to its alternative investments team as head of US real estate equity.
Darran Messem has joined BRE Group, the commercial subsidiary of the BRE Trust, as a non-executive director within buildings and infrastructure.
Savills has recruited Ilka Hoffmann as a director in its office agency team in Munich. Hoffmann has more than 18 years’ real estate experience and specialises in the requirements of international corporate occupiers.
Tom Rigg has joined Cushman & Wakefield from Knight Frank to head its UK automotive and roadside business.
Surveying and property management firm Scanlans has hired property manager Shabnam Shahid and commercial surveyor Mark Williams to its Leeds office. Shahid joins from Watson Property Management and Williams was previously at Dacres Commercial.
Catesby Estates has appointed Andy Wright as senior land manager. Wright will be responsible for the identification, acquisition and subsequent disposal of future residential land promotion opportunities in southern England.
Midlands-based developer and housebuilder Grevayne Properties has appointed Graham Lewis to its board as construction director. He was previously managing director of Avoncroft Homes and has more than 25 years’ experience in the residential construction sector in Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.
Thomas Sinden has appointed Howard Buckley as head of pre-construction. He joins the senior management team from Mears Group and has previously worked for Apollo Group, Morgan Sindell and Kier London.
Capital & Regional has appointed former Debenhams director of group property Robert Hadfield as new commercial director. He joined as a consultant earlier in the year and has since been working alongside Capital & Regional’s senior leadership team to support the company’s community strategy.
MDA Consulting has appointed Gary Church as director. He will be responsible for leading the Birmingham office and developing the consultancy’s work in the education sector nationwide. Healthcare consultancy specialist David Hiley has joined from Rider Levett Bucknall as an associate.
Hammerson has appointed Adam Metz as a non-executive director and a member of the investment and disposal committee and the nomination committee. He has more than 30 years’ experience in retail and commercial real estate across the US, Europe and Asia, and has acted as both an executive and non-executive director.
Proptech company Built-ID has appointed Matthew Richards as chief engagement officer. Bridget Wilkins joins as director of community engagement and Emily Laverick has been named as account manager.
Bidwells has appointed Chris Surfleet as head of heritage and urban design studio at the Oxford-Cambridge Arc offices, and Eleanor Grace joins as a senior heritage consultant to support the growing London business. Georgina Pickett in the Cambridge office has also been promoted to principal heritage consultant.
Turley’s planning and development consultancy has appointed Andrew Malcomson as associate director and Chloe Patel as consultant. Malcomson joins the Bristol office and has a wealth of procedural and technical experience in the delivery of high quality and proportionate EIA across the UK. Patel is based in London and will support the firm’s environmental appraisal at the plan and policy stage.
Bob Bies has joined leasing and asset management platform VTS as chief financial officer.
Julian Thew has joined Tunstall Smith King Consulting Engineers as a senior technician in its Nottingham team from West Bridgford-based ML Consulting.
Hanover Green Retail has recruited Hannah White from Shackleton and Ben Selwyn from CBRE to its agency team. They will both work on the firm’s landlord instructions including Carnaby Estate, King’s Cross, Covent Garden, Old Spitalfields Market and Berkeley Square Estate.
Facilities management firm Westgrove Group has recruited Adrian Canale to head its southern region.
