Private equity investment firm Growthdeck has appointed ex-Laing O’Rourke chief investment officer, Ceri Richards (pictured left), to the board as a non-executive director. Richards has held senior investment roles at BNP Paribas, HBOS and Lloyds Banking Group. She also serves on the board of the Thames Valley Housing Association.
BidX1 has appointed Johnny Horgan (pictured second from left) as managing director of Europe, to oversee its international expansion. Horgan previously worked for CBRE Ireland, where he was executive director and led the capital markets team.
William H Brown’s new home division has appointed Ellen Stewart (pictured second from right) as field sales manager for the East Midlands. She will work with developers in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Leicestershire regions.
Robertson has appointed Nick Harris (pictured right) as executive director of its property business, as the firm develops its commercial portfolio in Scotland and the north-east of England. He joins from Henry Boot Developments.
RPS has appointed Ben Borthwick as an associate director of town planning at its London office. Abraham Laker has been promoted to senior associate director and Jonathan Waugh to associate director.
Sophie Watson has joined Glenhawk as portfolio manager from Octopus Property.
JLL’s Midlands office has launched a new development team headed by director Chris Prescott. Rose Treasure joins as a graduate, and will support Prescott working across the commercial and residential teams in the Birmingham and Nottingham offices.
Chestertons has promoted Daniel Fisher to the new role of lettings regional director for south-west London.
Architecture practice tp bennett has promoted Shane Kelly and Cristiano Testi to principal directors in its interiors division.
Cushman & Wakefield has appointed retail strategist Paul Durkin as head of its UK retail team. Durkin joins from Asda where he was senior director of strategy. He will lead a team focused on delivering advisory services to clients.
Bruton Knowles has appointed senior surveyor Thibault Keuleyan to its Bristol team to help further boost the firm’s presence across the South West region.
Boyer has recruited James Doherty as a senior planner in its London office. He is a chartered town planner with extensive experience working within the private sector, predominantly in residential and dealing with major complex mixed-use schemes, as well as smaller scale developments in and around London.
Tom Nicholson has been appointed to the board of Crest Nicholson as chief operating officer. He was formerly divisional chairman of Linden Homes and was on the executive board of the Galliford Try Group.

The London Resort, a global destination theme park due to open in 2024 in Kent, has appointed real estate finance advisors Paul Huberman, Alan Crane and Alistair Dixon to its advisory board.
Tunstall Smith King Consulting Engineers has moved its headquarters to 29 Stoney Street, Nottingham. The firm was formed in 2016 by its directors Garry Tunstall, Peter Smith and Stephen King.
