Avison Young has appointed Richard Baldwin (pictured, left) as a director in its leisure team. He has 25 years’ experience in leisure property. In his new role he will provide both professional and transactional advice in the core and niche leisure markets.
St Modwen has appointed Fran Leedham (pictured, second left) as head of responsible business to support the company’s commitment to sustainability. She joins from JLL, where she was director of its sustainability strategy consulting practice.
SLC Property has hired Rob Smart (pictured, second right) as its new managing director. He previously held director positions at Turner & Townsend and Cambridge Assessment.
Joanne Dennis-Jones (pictured, right) has joined GL Hearn as national head of planning from Deloitte, where she was a planning director.
Nexus Planning has recruited two new planners: Mykena Mortimer-Davies from Pegasus Group and Peter Davis from Turley.
Law firm Royds Withy King has hired specialist real estate development lawyer David Paxton to lead its London office real estate team. He joins from Charles Russell Speechlys.
CBRE Global Investors has appointed Robbie Epsom as EMEA head for ESG. Epsom has more than 12 years’ experience in the sustainability sector, most recently at WSP, where he specialised in sustainability strategy and reporting. CBRE’s Leeds capital markets team has appointed Henry King as a senior surveyor. King joins from LSH and will instruct CBRE’s client portfolio across Yorkshire and the North East.
Building design firm Ekkist has appointed Ben Channon as director to grow the company’s advisory services in wellbeing consultancy and certification. Formerly head of wellbeing at Assael Architecture, he is an architect, WELL-Accredited Professional, author, TEDx speaker and mental wellbeing advocate.
Chris Petrie has joined Palace Capital as an asset manager to support the property team. He joins from Maybrook Properties, where he was responsible for managing its UK portfolio of commercial and residential assets.
Jasmine Pugh and Jake Hall have joined Scarborough Group on a five-year building surveying apprenticeship. The apprentices will study a part-time building surveying degree at the University of Salford.
US-based industrial real estate firm Bridge Development Partners has appointed Stephen Vickers as senior vice-president in development. He will lead the firm’s project delivery in the UK.
Rendall & Rittner has appointed Sarah Williams as area director to oversee property management in its London division. She joins from Warwick Estates, where she was an associate director.
Tim Garratt, the chairman of Innes England, has left the firm after 21 years. Garratt, who was formerly managing director for five years with Innes England, left the business on 31 December 2020.
Valor Real Estate Partners has appointed Victor Massias to head of developments and partner. He joined the firm in 2016.
Piotr Bienkowski has joined ABG Real Estate Group as managing director in Germany.
Savills has named Michaela Semanová as the new head of property and asset management at Savills Prague.
SDL Property Auctions has hired apprentices Ella Scott, Genevieve Cooper and Eleanor Carty. The trainees will receive vocational training in all aspects of the business while working towards their NAEA Propertymark qualifications.
Lee Baron has promoted Rafael Jacobs and Danny Cardosi to associate director and senior surveyor, respectively. Jacobs will work on the Capreon portfolio and Cardosi on the London portfolio.
Law firm Hogan Lovells has made the following counsel promotions in corporate and finance, real estate: Tim Reid in London; Mohammed Alam in Birmingham; Sabine Adams in Düsseldorf; and Claudia Wolf and Lara Anita Luxenhofer in Hamburg.
Deborah Moriarty has joined Richard Winter Surrey Property Search within its private estates and north Surrey areas. She has previously worked at Savills.
Kieran Daya and Jane Cookson have joined the executive leadership team at Crest Nicholson.
Graham Wynde has joined Bidwells as a divisional partner and new head of property and facilities management. He was previously head of West End property management at BNP Paribas Real Estate.
Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has hired real estate finance partner Robert Carr to its London office. He joins from Herbert Smith Freehills.
Jo Henry and Annabel Elliott have joined Jess Simpson Property Search to meet the demand for country property in the Cotswolds, West Country and surrounding areas.
Ed Borrini has joined legal firm Morrison & Foerster as a partner in its global real estate group and finance department in London.
Simon Gould has been appointed as the new head of sustainability and innovation at Assura. He will lead on its work towards becoming the UK’s leading listed property developer for social impact.
Geoff Coster has joined the tax planning team at Bruton Knowles. Based in Leominster, Herefordshire, he will work with the rural property team and valuer John Amos.
