People and companies: Aldermore appoints group managing director

Damian Thompson (pictured left) has been appointed group managing director in retail finance at Aldermore.

Glenny has appointed Jessica Rivas-Furlong (pictured second from left) as a senior surveyor in its real estate recoveries and receivership team. She joins from Copping Joyce Chartered Surveyors and will act for lenders, insolvency practitioners and private clients across the UK.

Fleurets has appointed Jonathan Parrish (pictured second from right) to the hotel and investment teams. He joins as a divisional director and will advise clients on the sale of hotel businesses, hotel development and investment projects.

Commercial property consultancy Bulleys has recruited Thomas Lea (pictured right) as an agency and management surveyor, to deal with instructions in the West Midlands and Shropshire.

Tom O’Kane has joined P4 Planning as a senior planner in the planning advisory team to work on its client portfolio, which includes New World Trading Company, University of Liverpool, Seddon and Midia.

L&Q Estates has promoted Richard Edwards to group planning director, and he will lead on planning-related matters. Russell Crow has joined as planning director from Richborough Estates, where he was regional director.

Yorkshire property and development firm S Harrison has appointed Paul Holcroft to its development team from Scarborough Group.

Gregory Property Group has appointed Tracy Sormus as company secretary and accountant.

DM Hall has appointed as partners Jonathan Hunter, Musselburgh residential; Jonathan McManus, West commercial agency Glasgow; and David Telford, Falkirk residential.

ELG Planning has promoted Gary Swarbrick and Steven Longstaff to directors, in recognition of their 15-year contribution to the business.

Development consultant Pro Vision has promoted Katherine Miles and James Iles to company directors.

Rider Levett Bucknall UK has appointed Matt Sharp as its first chief digital officer.

Aviva Investors has appointed Carl Williams as deputy fund manager to its REaLM ground rent fund. He joins from student housing fund Student Cribs.

Simon Taylor has joined the Ethical Property Foundation as senior property adviser, to head up the charity’s affordable consultancy services.

Rob Lynch has joined law firm Blake Morgan as property partner from Harrison Clark Rickerbys.

Avison Young has recruited Emma Berry as director and head of property management for the North West. She previously worked for MAPP and CBRE.

Placefirst has appointed Modwen’s Bill Oliver as chairman and Kier’s David Mawson as chief executive. They will take over from David Smith-Milne in March.

Ed Norris has joined Aitchison Raffety’s planning and development division as senior planning consultant. He will work alongside managing director Nigel Ozier to deliver planning advice in the Midlands and the North from the firm’s offices in Northampton and Birmingham.

Law firm Cripps Pemberton Greenish has hired Amy Jackson to its leasehold enfranchisement team. She joins from Forsters and has experience acting for both landlords and tenants in leasehold enfranchisement.

James Teagle has joined law firm Bevan Brittan as a partner in its property disputes team based in Leeds. He joins from Blacks Solicitors.

CBRE has hired global occupier adviser Sisi Lagrem as a director in its financial services advisory team. She joins from Knight Frank, where she has spent the past seven years building up the firm’s tenant and occupier property service.

Bidwells has appointed business space agency partner Holly Dawson as head of its Milton Keynes office. She brings 20 years’ experience in the commercial property industry to the role.

Shanly Homes has hired Greg Ketteridge as regional managing director for its north London division. He will oversee the delivery of the division’s sales and development strategies to provide new homes across London and the home counties.

Barnsdales has promoted Craig Gooddy to director in the agency department and James Vandenbrook to director in the property auction department.

Peabody has named Eamonn Hughes as its interim chief financial officer. He previously worked for Berkeley Group and KPMG.

Cheffins has promoted Lauren Blake to departmental director and Christina Ballands to associate.

Dexter Moren Associates has promoted Joel Iseli to associate, Anya Gordon Clark to senior designer and Ed Murray to associate.

Ritesh Ramchandani has been named head of debt strategies and capital markets at DTZ Investors. He previously worked at GE Capital, Landmark Partners and Standard Chartered.
