People and companies: Aitchison Raffety appoints business rates director

Pi Labs has appointed Andrew Saull (pictured, left) as research associate to lead the firm’s research into proptech. He joins from the Oxford Future of Real Estate initiative, where he has co-authored a number of publications on digital transformation in the real estate industry.

Aitchison Raffety has promoted Anthony Waller (pictured, second left) to director in its business rates division. He joined the firm in 2017 as an associate director, delivering professional business rates advice across England.

The Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation has appointed Emma Williamson (pictured, second right) as director of planning. She will join in August to lead the planning team and advise on the development and implementation of the OPDC’s Local Plan.

Landwood has promoted head of asset management Anna Main (pictured, right) to company board director. She joined the firm from Avison Young in 2019.

TLT has appointed Jahanara Hussain as construction partner. She joins from BLM Law.

Leading Real Estate Companies of the World has appointed Hristo Bushev as director of business development in the EMEA region, based in Bulgaria.

The Middle East construction practice of law firm HFW has hired Maria Deus in its Abu Dhabi office and Kijong Nam has relocated from London to the Dubai office.

Aviva Investors has appointed Grégoire Bailly-Salins as head of transactions for its European real estate business. Based in Paris, he will be responsible for overseeing acquisition activities across all real estate asset classes in continental Europe.

Kier Property has appointed Graham Watson as an asset manager in its London office. He previously worked for Devonshire Investment Holdings and SEGRO.

Mira Arezina has joined the property litigation team at Axiom Stone Solicitors.

Octane Capital has hired Shrena Patel as senior business development manager and Chris Harrison as senior credit manager.

DAC Beachcroft has hired partners Dan Kendall and Gemma Leonard to head the North West residential development team. Dave Cogan joins from Brabners as legal director.

Winckworth Sherwood has appointed Louise Forrest as a partner and head of banking and finance and Zofia Kordek as a senior associate.

Mitsui Fudosan has appointed Tomoo Nakamura as managing director for its UK and European business. He joined the firm in 1993 and during this time has headed its Asia Pacific business in Tokyo.

Green & Partners has hired Tom Plaine as a partner in its lease advisory team. He joins from Cushman & Wakefield. Matt Beardall has been promoted to equity partner. Beardall joined the agency team in 2010.

Savills has appointed Nunzia Moliterni as head of building project consultancy in its Italian headquarters in Milan. She joins from JLL where she was head of building consultancy.

M7 Real Estate has expanded its business into Spain and has appointed Alvaro Arteaga Biforcos as managing director of its first office located in Madrid. He has more than18 years’ experience in real estate and has previously held positions at PwC and Grupo Lar Grosvenor.

Knight Frank UK has made 41 partner promotions and 72 associate promotions. The new partners include: Tom Kanazawa in relocation and corporate services; Simon Berkley in business rates; Roma Dibua and Jaime Avis in risk and operations; and Jessica Bishop in the Kensington office.

Heather Hancock has joined the board of Urban Logistics as an independent non-executive director.

Pan-European logistics practice Verdion has appointed Florian Stöbe as head of investment for German markets, based in Frankfurt. He joins from Deka Immobilien Investment.

Audley PFA, the joint venture between Audley Group and pension company PFA has appointed Mikala Kreiser as chief executive. She will be responsible for introducing the retirement living concept to the Danish market.
