Birketts’ commercial property team has appointed Manish Patel (pictured right) as a senior associate. Patel has more than 10 years’ experience in residential and commercial conveyancing, particularly the purchase of care homes, new-build developments and lease options.

Capita has appointed Dwayne Brook (pictured second from right) as a commercial director in its real estate and advisory business. He will be responsible for providing commercial governance and will also lead on developing new delivery structures.

Knight Frank has appointed residential development specialist Neil Kirk (pictured left) as an associate in its valuations team. Kirk joins from Cushman & Wakefield and has 16 years’ experience in valuation, working on residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.

Savills has hired Anders Henningsson (pictured second from left) as head of occupier services in Sweden. He previously worked for Niras as a senior consultant and will support the expansion of Savills’ European real estate platform.

Newcore Capital Management has appointed Jonathan Scriven as manager of its investment team.

Orchard Street Investment Management has appointed Mark Long as head of strategy. He joins from BlackRock where he was head of EMEA real assets research and strategy.

Unispace has appointed Hong Nguyen as chief finance officer for its European operations. He joins from Knewton.

Knight Frank has recruited Mark Tyler as a partner and Kimishka Naidoo as an analyst in its healthcare team. Tyler joins from Colliers International where he was a director. Naidoo was previously an occupier markets analyst at GVA.

Martin Gizzie and Chris Howson have joined OBI Property’s building consultancy team to assist with project management, contract administration and dilapidation projects. Gizzie previously worked for WYG and Howson joins from Gray Scanlan Hill.

LCP has appointed Robin Kennedy as legal counsel in its Glasgow office. He joins from Shepherd and Wedderburn where he was a senior associate in the property and infrastructure team.

Colliers International has promoted Annick Vandenbulcke to head of occupier services in Belgium, effective from 1 December.

Ruth Jackson Planning has hired David Green as an associate. He joins from Jacobs.

The planning team at Iceni Projects has appointed Eilish Smeaton as a director in London and Andrew McPheat as a planner. Lucy Furber and Oliva Bostock have joined the Manchester team as assistant planners.

Healthcare property investor Assura has hired Jayne Cottam as chief financial officer and Jessica Malone and Katie Leather as surveyors.

Property developer and investor Kajima has appointed Ben O’Connor as project director in its development team. His remit is to build on the firm’s public sector partnership and secure new public property, health and social care projects in the UK.

Gaunt Francis Architects has promoted Chris Jefford to associate. Jefford joined the firm six months ago and his new role is in recognition of his work, commitment to the firm, and his experience in the industry.

Isla Monteith has joined Savills’ Edinburgh office as a director in the retail team. Monteith will provide retail and leisure agency advice on behalf of landlord and occupier clients, covering high streets, shopping centres and retail parks throughout Scotland.

AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets has appointed Justin Curlow as global head of research and strategy. He will take over from Greg Mansell.

The Leeds office of Trident Building Consultancy has appointed assistant building surveyor Usmaan Mehboob from Watts. Thomas Annau, who previously worked in the firm’s Edinburgh office, joins as a building surveyor.

The London office of HW Wood has appointed Steve Redgwell to the board and  head of UK retail. Elissa Davidson joins as head of professional liability, and David Murphy has been named head of real estate.

Manchester Royal Exchange has appointed Jeff Jackson as its new building manager. He has 14 years’ experience in shopping centre and retail management.

Andy Cunningham has joined CBRE as a senior director in the advisory and transaction services team based in Glasgow. He will focus on office development, disposals and acquisitions.

Ross Samuel has joined Gleeson Strategic Land, part of MJ Gleeson Group, as land director. He previously worked for Taylor Wimpey.

The Manchester office of Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Julian Cotton as an associate and Toby Brown as a development sales manager in its residential team. Both Cotton and Brown have extensive experience in the residential development market, having previously worked on new schemes for Taylor Wimpey Central London, Barratt Homes and Berkeley.

Legal & General has appointed James Robson as residential development manager in its build-to-rent team. He joins from CNM Estates.

Flexible offices firm Citibase has appointed Tim Irons as group finance director. He joins from CVP.

Rider Levett Bucknall has appointed Duncan Robertson as a commercial partner and head of industrial in the North.

Cundall has promoted Simon Wyatt to sustainability partner and Peter Liddle to building services partner in the London office. Duncan Cox has been made structural engineering partner, jointly leading the structural department in Newcastle. In Melbourne, Garrit Schot has become a partner in the building services team.
