Capita Real Estate and Infrastructure has appointed Deborah McLaughlin (pictured left) as managing director of its real estate projects business, focusing on the delivery of clients’ programmes through both the design and project management phases.

BNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed Larry Young (pictured second from left) as head of its international investment group dealing with international clients investing into Europe.

Sanderson Weatherall has appointed Colin Harrop (pictured right) from Gerald Eve as a partner in the Leeds office. Harrop’s specialisms include dilapidations, technical advice, due diligence and acquisition work.

Jeremy Pyatt (pictured second from right) has joined Bruton Knowles as planning partner based in the Birmingham office. He joins from WYG.

Business Lending Group has appointed Gordon Robinson as deputy head of new business. He joins from United Trust Bank.

CBRE in Leeds has appointed Sam Richardson as a graduate surveyor in its valuation team.

Law firm Higgs & Sons has recruited Kevin Joynes from Bovis Homes as a partner in the residential development team.

Carter Towler has made the following appointments: Josh Holmes and Chris Green, directors; Max Vause, trainee surveyor; Chris Harrison, assistant surveyor; Mark Marshall, compliance co-ordinator; Zack Sorkin, graduate property management surveyor; Kim Gray, credit controller; and Gary Lewsley, service charge manager.

The Birmingham office of Sanderson Weatherall has recruited James Cartwright as associate partner and Beverley Stamps as surveyor. They will provide valuations, agency and property management across the Midlands.

Will Scarlett, former director at Rettie & Co, has launched consultancy Scarlett Land and Development based at 13A Abercromby Place, Edinburgh.

Bhavesh Yagnik has joined L’Oréal UK as head of its retail property team. He previously worked for Hartnell Taylor Cook.

Aston Rose has appointed Dominic Clarke as a graduate surveyor in the property management team.

London retail property consultancy Nash Bond has appointed Anne Louise Pilkington from Cushman & Wakefield as a director in its central London lease advisory team. Laurie Stokes has been promoted to director and Anna Fayne to senior surveyor in the agency team. Victoria Lormor has been made associate director in the lease advisory team.

Acorn Property Group has appointed James Horner as a graduate development surveyor in its Southampton office.

Cushman & Wakefield has recruited Brien Giuntini as a partner in its EMEA hospitality team. He joins from CBRE and has more than 10 years’ hotel investment experience. Based in Frankfurt, he will work with the London-based transaction team.

The Manchester office of Scanlans has promoted Philip Manson to partner and head of valuation, and Anthony Kingdon and Mike Dutson have joined as a property manager and senior building surveyor respectively. Associate David West has been appointed as head of the Leeds office. In the Birmingham office, Gordon Harrow has been recruited as a senior building surveyor and Chris Jones has been promoted to associate in the property management department.

Andrew Forbes has appointed Neil Wright as head of building surveying and Chris Jenkins as a surveyor in the valuation team.

Porta Planning has promoted Mark Thomson and Henrik Dorbeck to associate directors. Lewis McAulay has joined from Hackney Council as a planner and Raveen Matharu has been appointed as a junior planner from the London Borough of Redbridge.

Legal firm Birketts has appointed Melanie Carroll as a legal director in its residential property team.

David Freeman has been promoted to finance director at Hortons Estate.

Nexus Planning has appointed graduate planners Euan Connolly and Yvette Black to its Manchester team.

Savills has appointed Stephen Myles as a director in its London building and project consultancy team. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the industry and joins from Lambert Smith Hampton where he specialised in mixed-use development and strategic land.

Lovell has appointed Ben Giddens as regional managing director of its London division. He joins from Quintain and will lead the London business.

Nick Dunning Associates has recruited Vince Corley as managing director for sales and financial services, and Stephen Wilson as managing director for professional services.

The Leeds office of Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Jacques Esterhuizen as an associate. He joins from CBRE. Rob Garraghan joins as a consultant in the public sector advisory team. Andrew Malloy has been appointed as a building surveyor in the project management and consultancy team, and Edward Barker joins as a quantity surveyor as part of the cost consultancy team.

Colliers International has expanded its transactions team with the appointment of James Walker, Natalie Lelliott, Oliver Hawking and Stuart Commins from CBRE and city capital markets director Dominic Amey.

Base Quantum has promoted Steven Jackson to managing director and hired Stewart Owen as strategy and business development director.

Delva Patman Redler has appointed Aidan Cosgrave as a partner. He joins from Anstey Horne and specialises in rights of light and party wall matters.

Linden Homes has promoted Scott Stothard to managing director of its West Yorkshire region.
