Capital & Regional has appointed Joe Swindells (pictured second from left) as projects director in its retail development team. He joins from NEAT Developments where he led a new homes planning application on protected industrial land in Brent, north London.

Lambert Smith Hampton has appointed Peter Williams (pictured second from right) as operations director and head of its Lincoln office. Formerly head of the Cambridge office, he has held senior positions with LSH since 1988.

Services and construction group Interserve has appointed Ian Mcilroy (pictured left) as director of its retail division. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the retail industry and has specialised in store and regional operations for Tesco and Matalan.

Becky Thomson (pictured right) has rejoined Colliers International as an associate director in the healthcare team. She joins from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors where she was UK valuation associate director.

Aviva Investors has appointed asset managers Katie Brown and Chris Wilkinson to its real estate team. Based in London, they will work on the development and asset management of retail properties across the UK and will report to head of retail asset management Tony Christie.

Liam West has joined Glenny’s valuation team as a surveyor. He has previous experience in commercial, industrial, residential and retail properties.

Adam Hills has joined Michael Jones Estate Agents as head of lettings.

Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Phil Reid as an office agent. Reid has 30 years’ office market experience and has previously worked at JLL and CBRE and in 2008 set-up his own business.

TLT’s real estate group has appointed Kevin Murphy as partner in the Belfast office. He joins from A&L Goodbody.

Savills’ London healthcare team has appointed Ian Hardman as a director and Dan Worrall as senior surveyor. A former Savills employee, Hardman also worked for CBRE and JLL. Worrall joins from Capita where he was a healthcare management consultant.

Indigo Planning has moved to new offices at St James’ Tower, 7 Charlotte Street, Manchester M1 4DZ.

Redrow has promoted Katherine Ball to land manager for its Lancashire division. She originally joined the firm through its graduate training programme.

Niall Brown has joined Capita Real Estate Finance as its director from Laxfield Capital.

Instant Group has appointed senior director Charlie Wardroper to develop its landlord space proposition.  He joins from Regus.

Lichfields has promoted associate director Nathan Matta to planning director. He joined the firm in 2008 and has worked on development projects in the North West, including Woodford Aerodrome in Stockport and the Manchester Town Hall complex transformation programme.

Atrium European Real Estate has promoted Scott Dwyer to group chief operating officer, effective from 1 October.

The Bristol office of Colliers International has appointed destination-consulting expert Matt Hyslop. His remit will be to develop opportunities in the South West and South Wales.

Opus North has appointed James Farnaby as development manager from Land Securities.

Cushman & Wakefield’s business space investment team has recruited Ed Cornwell as a partner from BNP Paribas Real Estate and Russell Nimmo as a surveyor from Montagu Evans.

Law firm Baker McKenzie has appointed the following partners to its real estate practice group. Cynthia de Witt Wijnen and Frenk Huisman in Amsterdam; Ben Farnell in London; Mateusz Grabiec in Warsaw; and Yung-Yu Tang in Taipei.

Planning law firm Town Legal has recruited Juliet Munn as an associate. She joins following a two-year secondment from King & Wood Mallesons to KWM’s Sydney office.

Octopus Property has appointed Emma Ryan to head of servicing and legal. She joins from Amicus.

Chancerygate has boosted its North West team with the appointment of Daniel March as a project manager in the Warrington office. He previously worked at Lambert Smith Hampton as a senior building surveyor.

Nexus Planning has made the following promotions. Director: Justin Cove. Associate director; Rhian Stratton, Andrew Somerville and Oliver Bell. Associate: Steven Doel. Principal planner: Helen Hartley and Esha Banwait. Senior planner: Rosanna Cohen.

Horbury Property Services has appointed Dean Cook as a project manager. He previously held the position of building services project manager at the firm.

Beatrix Young has joined the residential team at architectural and urban design practice Weston Williamson + Partners. She was formally a partner at Farrells.

TLT’s real estate practice has appointed Kevin Murphy as a partner in the Belfast office. He joins from A&L Goodbody where he worked in the commercial property team.

Savills has appointed Shaun Rhodes to head POP marketing, a service within its property management division, which provides event management, PR, digital marketing, strategic marketing and social media advice to clients.

Stiles Harold Williams has promoted Paul Wade to head of lease advisory. He joined the firm in 2000 and became a director in 2003. He will have overall responsibility for lease advisory and business rates matters across the partnership.
