This week’s appointments and promotions

James Drew has joined Trebor Developments as development manager working on industrial, office, retail and mixed-use schemes.

Gary Bucknall has joined the Birmingham office of Colliers International as an associate director in its UK leisure agency team. He joins from GVA and will work with clients on town centre, urban bars and leisure schemes.

GVA has appointed Andrew Pexton as head of the North West industrial team in the Manchester office. He has worked for the firm for more than 20 years providing development and agency advice to leading funds and developers. Pexton replaces Robert Dunston who has retired after 21 years.

Savills has recruited Stuart Jordan as head of its investment agency team in the Czech Republic. He joins from JLL.

Richard Palmer has joined Carter Jonas as associate partner in the energy and infrastructure team in Oxford. He has more than 22 years’ experience in the energy sector and joins from Butler Sherborn.

Hilson Moran has appointed associate consultant Laurence Evans to its acoustics team. He will work alongside Jon Willmott and lead the Farnborough office team.

Zorin Finance has hired Colin Chung as associate director in its credit risk team and Katy Katani as associate director and head of business development.

Yorkshire housebuilder Avant Homes has appointed Nicola Jefferson as area sales manager.

Michael Canniford has joined Porters Chartered Surveyors as managing director. He has more than 35 years’ experience in both commercial valuations and agency. He joins from Edward Symmons and Partners. Porters has recently been acquired by property investment and development firm Lall Group.

UK Central Solihull Urban Growth Company has appointed Philip Farrell as development director and Claire Barker as head of communications and engagement.

Malcolm Hollis has appointed Adam Nicol as partner at its London city office. His remit will be dilapidations, project work and technical due diligence.

Michael Clare has been named senior engagement consultant, Manchester; Ioanna Psatha, urban designer, Bristol; and Adam Ewers, team secretary, Manchester.

MMX Retail has promoted Lisa Hardy to equity partner and Alex Peck to associate partner specialising in leasing and asset management.

Lucy Chilvers has joined Wynbrook as a contract surveyor.

The commercial department of Carter Jonas has appointed Kate Lea as associate partner in the development team and Imogen Bryan as an associate in the valuations team based in its Cambridge office.

Tom Wyatt has joined Harvey Spack Field’s retail team. He will focus on landlord asset management and retailer portfolio management.

Acorn Property Group has appointed Martyn Harris as commercial manager in its Cardiff office.  He previously worked at Castleoak.

Pete Wilder has joined the commercial team at Simmons & Sons. He will focus on consolidating the firms market share in Henley-on-Thames and seek new opportunities in Reading, Wallingford and Marlow.

Knight Frank named Michael McHale and Daniel Woods as heads of its South Kensington and Tower Bridge offices respectively.

Stephen Ward has joined Henderson Park’s investment and asset management team from J.P Morgan. He is experienced in real estate, hotel and homebuilder clients investment banking.

Rockspring has promoted Rod Mordey and Daniel Rubinstein to associate partners. Anita Jerkovic, James McGowan, Kim Sardar and Lauren O’Brien have been made European directors.

Regal Homes has appointed Steve Harrington as planning director and Ben Marsh as land director.

Interserve Developments has appointed Robin Blacklock as development director to the £200million Haymarket project in Edinburgh. He will join Edinburgh Haymarket Developments, a joint venture with Tiger Developments, as a key representative to the scheme.

Carla Walker has joined DM Hall as a building surveyor in the Aberdeen office.

AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets has recruited Sven Krumpholz as head of asset management and transactions in Germany.

Cavendish Maxwell has appointed Sohail Raja as head of its Abu Dhabi office. He joins from Chestertons.

Northampton-based Barwood Capital has named Guy Brogden as executive chairman of the board.

TowerEight has appointed Syed Maqbool as principal quantity surveyor and Thomas Peters as a cost manager to its project management and cost consultancy teams.

Unispace has appointed Douglas Taylor-Saunders from Edge Architecture as principal and Karen Morris from Woods Bagot as a senior associate, to its Europe design team based in its London.
