This week’s appointments and promotions

Colliers International has appointed Giles Roberts as a director in its retail capital markets division. He joins from JLL and will work alongside James Findlater, head of shopping centre investment.

GVA has promoted Chris Walker to director in the restructuring and recovery team. He will provide strategic valuation, asset management and disposal advice on properties in all sectors in the North West region.

James Swallow has joined Avison Young as principal. He joins from CBRE and brings 15 years’ experience to the role. His instruction will be to grow the firm’s industrial property business in the Midlands and South East markets.

Nick Grant has joined Iceni Projects central London planning team as an associate. He joins from CBRE and has previously worked on major developments in London.

Former head of Scotland’s RICS valuation professional group Roy Hudghton has joined DM Hall as a director in the commercial team.

Rachael Church has joined Greenwood Solicitors’ business development team.

Barton Willmore’s Manchester office has appointed Greg Dickson as planning director, Nicole Roe as a planning associate, and Steven Grimster has been promoted to planning director.

Charles Russell Speechlys has made the following partner promotions: Helen Hutton, real estate, planning and environmental; Rupa Lakha, construction, engineering and projects; Naomi Nettleton, real estate; and Michael O’Connor, construction, engineering and projects.

Cushman & Wakefield’s EMEA Insight team has appointed Darren Yates and Lisa Graham as sector specialists in retail and logistics respectively.

Dan Banks has joined Trowers & Hamlins from Ashurst as an associate in the property litigation team.

Eagle One has appointed Robin Langford as retail asset manager focusing on shopping centre letting and development. Ursula Heslop joins as asset manager and will run the daily management of the retail portfolio.

Kingston Smith has appointed Heather Powell as head of property. She joined the firm’s property team in 2007.

Rebecca Smith has joined Savills as a sustainability consultant in London. She joins from JLL Australia.

Chris Bees has rejoined MDA Consulting as an associate director based in the Bristol office.

Workman has named Clare Sawyer and Lee Espinoza as partners. Espinoza and Sawyer are part of the firm’s property management team based in the London Cheapside and London Victoria offices respectively.

The Bristol office of Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Edward Stenner as senior consultant from Capita Real Estate. He joins the firm’s public sector advisory team and will report to Laura Stamboulieh.

Andrew Robinson has joined Palmer Capital as director and head of capital raising. He previously worked at Morgan Stanley.

Prime Retail has promoted Brad Maher to equity partner. He joined the firm as an associate partner in 2014 from Cushman & Wakefield.

Khaled Chatila has joined the cross-border investment team at Savills as an associate director in London. He joins from Coutts.

Planning and development consultancy H&G has appointed Richard Henley as an equity director and Eve Campbell as a director. Matthew Robinson has been promoted to associate and Oliver Carr to planner.

Kemsley has appointed Chris Tidder as an equity director. He will lead the professional team from its Romford office, specialising in valuation and landlord and tenant work across east London and Essex.

Projex Building Solutions has recruited Paul O’Callaghan as director for project management and Tom Setchell as associate director for building consultancy.

John Thompson has been appointed managing director of Rockspring Iberia.   He will head the Madrid office, overseeing the firm’s Spanish and Portuguese transactional and asset management activities.

AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets has appointed Jeffrey Woodard as a principal in the infrastructure equity team based in London. He brings more than 15 years’ experience to the role.

European real estate investment platform Henderson Park has appointed Giovanni Tira and Corey Trinetti as associates in its investment and asset management team.
