Peel and Rockspring secure second tenant at Island Road

Peel Logistics Property and funders Rockspring Property Investment Managers have let a 56,000 sq ft unit at the Island Road urban logistics development in Reading.

Universal Electrical Corporation (UEC) has taken the space on a 10-year lease.

It is the second leasing deal signed at Island Road, after 73,000 sq ft was let in October to Argos.

The site comprises three facilities totalling 256,000 sq ft.

Neil Dickinson, chief investment officer at Peel Logistics Property, said: “The confidence we had to speculatively develop the units at Island Road is validated again by this letting to UEC.”
