Almost 40 women from across the built environment gathered earlier this month to tackle steep climbs and some not always pleasant weather on their bicycles to raise much-needed funds for charity.
The 11th annual PedElle event took to the roads of Poland this year, wiggling its way through the hills from Krakow to Sienna. The ride, supported by Buro Happold, DP9, Forsters, Knight Frank, Legal & General and SEGRO, saw the women ride more than 450km over three days, with a cumulative elevation of more than 5,700m.
Together the riders have so far raised more than £30,000 but they are keen to hit a target of £40,000, which will enable Club Peloton to transform young lives by purchasing three specially adapted trikes for Cyclists Fighting Cancer; paying for three adoption days for Coram; and supporting 20 vulnerable families with six weeks of parenting skills training.
