Peabody and Ealing ink development partnership

Peabody and Ealing Council have signed a contract for the development of The Green in Old Southall.

The scheme will provide 474 homes, 50% of which will be affordable, alongside 54,000 sq ft of commercial space.

The council selected Peabody in August 2018, following a competitive tender process led by Lambert Smith Hampton.

The housing association is working with architecture firm Hunters on plans, and will seek to launch public consultation on a draft this summer, before submitting a planning application by the end of the year. The regeneration is expected to start in 2021, with completion by 2024.
