NOMA director steps down

David-Pringle-NOMADavid Pringle is stepping down from his role as the Co-operative Group’s director of NOMA, the company’s £800m regeneration project in Manchester city centre.

Pringle will leave at the end of September, becoming a part-time consultant for the Co-op and its joint venture partner on the project, Hermes Real Estate.

A Co-op spokesman said: “After nearly 17 years, David Pringle has decided to leave the Co-op.”

It is understood that no-one is lined up to succeed Pringle. The 20-acre masterplan will be driven forward by the existing Co-op team led by Alistair Asher, general counsel to the Co-op board, alongside the team at Hermes Real Estate.

NOMA includes the Co-op’s existing 1m sq ft office estate and surrounding landholdings which will accommodate a further 3m sq ft of future developments.
