NI Housing Executive pushes for integration

The Northern Ireland Housing Executive plans to create new housing estates to tackle religious segregation.

Protestants and Catholics will live alongside each other in a push to be launched today to improve community relations and encourage integration.

Pilot schemes will be launched in and around Belfast, with two new housing estates.

There will be no attempts at enforced integration because of fears of violence among those who are vehemently against living together.
