New technology has been developed to help landlords reopen offices and meet social distancing and safety standards.
Equiem, in partnership with Metrikus, has launched tech platform Smart, which controls tenants’ re-entry to buildings, manages lift queues, and tracks crowdedness in communal areas via sensors installed in buildings.
Data collected by the sensors can also be used by occupants to decide whether or not to access the workplace on a given day.
Gabrielle McMillan, chief executive of Equiem, said: “Smart will allow landlords to have a live virtual view of their buildings, helping them manage and control crowdedness, density, traffic – ultimately to provide the transparency needed to help make occupants feel safe to return to their buildings.”
