Former England and Manchester United footballer Gary Neville has bought the former Stock Exchange in Manchester city centre.
Neville, now a coach for England and a pundit for Sky Sports, is understood to be planning to turn it into a private members club after paying Aneel Mussarat’s MCR Properties around £1.5m for the 23,000 sq ft Grade II listed building.
It is presently home to an Italian restaurant called Stock, which occupies 1,500 sq ft on the ground floor and pays rent of £93,700 pa.
CBRE was appointed by MCR to sell the asset. Neville was advised by OBI.
