Naylors Gavin Black pulls ahead in EG’s North East industrial agent rankings

Naylors Gavin Black has extended its lead at the top of EG’s leaderboard of the most active industrial agents in the North East, helped by one of the biggest industrial deals so far this year.

The deal saw Northumbrian Water purchase the freehold of a 186,530 sq ft unit from Akdeniz Chemson at Chemson, Northumberland Dock Road, Wallsend (pictured). The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Naylors Gavin Black leads the way in the North East industrial market by some margin, having acted on 428,449 sq ft of deals so far this year. In second place is Knight Frank, which has transacted 222,856 sq ft, with Dodds Brown in third spot on 29,321 sq ft. The top five is rounded out by BNP Paribas Real Estate on 6,595 sq ft and Youngs RPS on 622 sq ft.

As well as increasing Naylors’ lead in the North East, the deal helped the agent move up to fourth place in EG’s national industrial agent rankings. It is surpassed only by Colliers, which has acted on 1,028,545 sq ft of deals, JLL, on 704,213 sq ft, and Knight Frank, on 676,867 sq ft.
