Muse gets funding for Swindon regen

Pound_sterlingTHUMB.jpegMuse Developments has secured funding for the next phase of its Kimmerfields development in Swindon town centre.

The developer has agreed a deal with Primary Health Properties, which will fund the construction of a new health centre within the scheme for £10m.

The 27,000 sq ft property has been let to NHS Property Services on a 20-year lease.

Two GP practices on the site are expected to serve 20,000 patients.

Kimmerfields is a mixed-use scheme that will include a public square, new bus interchange, offices, homes, shops and leisure.

The health centre will sit alongside a 850-space car park and assisted living facility that were delivered as part of the first phase of development.

Muse has appointed Rydon Construction, which will start on site in January 2016. Completion is scheduled for early 2017.
