Multiplex, Stanhope, Modus, CTP and Salmon Harvester are all lining up bids to get involved with the regeneration of a 100-acre site in Hereford.

They are battling to be selected to redevelop 12.5 acres of the larger town centre sale.

Bids to transform the former cattle market site in the town centre into a £200m retail-led mixed-use scheme are due on 23 April.

The site was released for development in December after Herefordshire council decided that the historic cattle market should be relocated to Griffiths Field, towards the north-west of the town.

The land, where the council wants 350,000 sq ft of shops and leisure, alongside housing and a car park, to be built, forms part of the much larger town centre regeneration project. Montagu Evans is advising the council.
