Law firm Morrison & Foerster has confirmed its leasing of four floors at the Scalpel, EC3, as revealed by EG in September.
The company is to relocate from its current base at Brookfield’s CityPoint on Ropemaker Street, EC2, to WRBC Development’s recently completed City tower in late 2019 where it will occupy 36,500 sq ft on levels 22 to 25.
Morrison & Foerster will be joining the National Bank of Australia, which EG also revealed in September had placed two floors in the building under offer, Lombard International and WR Berkley Corporation at the 190m tower, which is now more than half let.
Paul Friedman, Europe managing partner at Morrison & Foerster, said: “The move to the Scalpel will allow for better office space utilisation and will enhance collaboration, further improving our client service.
“The square footage we are leasing will enable significant additional strategic growth for our London office, which has seen a 25% increase in headcount in the past 12 months.”
Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE are leasing agents for the Scalpel. CBRE represented Morrison & Foerster.
