Montagu’s Scotland head to leave

Bill O’Hara, one of Scotland’s best-known agents, is leaving Montagu Evans to concentrate on running his own asset management business.

Partner and head of Scotland, O’Hara, had been with the firm since 1978. He leaves at the end of July to run his own company, Paradigm Asset Management Group.

O’Hara established Paradigm in 2004. The firm currently manages £400m of property assets throughout the UK on behalf of institutions and private investors.

O’Hara said he felt this was an appropriate time to make the move from Montagu Evans to focus on the expansion of the Paradigm asset base.

He said: “I have enjoyed my time here with Montagu Evans and always appreciated the freedom and encouragement given to me by my partners. Paradigm is however in a growth phase and I wish to devote my time and energy to the company’s expansion as new opportunities emerge.”

David McCrory, managing partner of Montagu Evans in Scotland, said: “On behalf of the partnership I would like to thank Bill for his legendary contribution to the success of Montagu Evans over the last 36 years.

“We are disappointed that Bill has decided to leave at this time when he has so much more to offer the business but we respect his decision and wish him every success for the future.”
