MIPIM is back. The sun is shining and the streets of Cannes have again been taken over by the real estate community.
While numbers feel lower, there was still plenty going on on day one of the annual property conference.
Team EG was on stage across the event, hosting panel discussions on the booming life sciences and build-to-rent sectors, while taking a forensic look at what hybrid working really means for office space and sitting down for a chat with Homes England boss Peter Denton about the role of the body in the creation of place.
The highlight of day one, as always, was the arrival of more than 80 property cyclists who have pedalled more than 1,000 miles from London to Cannes, through torrential rain and humour-sapping headwinds to raise vital funds for charities supported by Club Peloton.
