Jonathan Bevan, the former head of Ministry of Sound, has joined Techspace as its chief executive.
The flexible workspace provider recently secured a £5m investment from Noé Group to accelerate its growth. The company is set to open Techspace Eiswerk in Berlin later this year.
Bevan will be driving the development of Techspace’s strategy for organic and M&A growth, broadening the company’s service offering, and he is looking to more than double the international footprint over the next 18 months.
Bevan said: “Attitudes to work have changed more in days than in a decade, due to the coronavirus pandemic, and it’s going to boost demand for flexible workspace significantly in the long term. Short term we have challenges to work through like most businesses. However, our focus on the large and dynamic tech sector puts us in a very strong position.
“I am inheriting a strong team that has built a robust business already covering Europe’s two pre-eminent tech hubs – London and Berlin – and I couldn’t be more excited about Techspace’s future. Once we have emerged from the current crisis and, with the strong support of our shareholders, I am looking forward to rapidly scaling the business.”
