Milton Keynes opts for Sterling

plans-THUMB.jpegMilton Keynes Development Partnership has selected Sterling Property Ventures to deliver Milton Keynes’ tallest scheme.

The developer plans to build a mixed-use tower of between 20 and 30 storeys on the 1.5-acre site known as B3.3N on Midsummer Boulevard in the city.

The scheme, which will comprise 150,000 to 250,000 sq ft of offices, 150 to 250 PRS homes and a skyline restaurant, is designed to attract both large corporates looking to relocate and local occupiers seeking new grade-A space.

This will be Sterling’s first project in Milton Keynes.

The developer hopes to submit a planning application by the end of the year, with the aim of starting work in late 2017.

London-based architectural practice Doone Silver Architects has been appointed lead architect.

Sterling’s managing director, James Howarth, said: “This scheme will help Milton Keynes continue to expand as a key employment location, making the most of its communication links and status as the fastest-growing city in the UK.”
