McAlpine profits up 29%

Alfred McAlpine has reported record annual pretax profit up 29% to £60.2m on turnover up 6% to £850m.

Operating profits in the homes division rose 24% to £53.7m on turnover up 12% to £463m. PFI schemes reaped pretax profits of
