People and companies: Matthews & Goodman appoint new partner in Liverpool

Matthews & Goodman has appointed Lynn Haime (pictured left) as a partner to lead the Liverpool office and work with the firm’s specialist teams in the North West. Haime was formerly with Peel Media for eight years and was involved in marketing, letting and managing the MediaCity UK estate.

Dan Bentley (pictured second from left) has joined RPS as a director covering project work and business operations in London. He was previously with Core Five, where he was a partner in the residential sector.

Investment management firm Orchard Street has appointed Paul Nicholson (pictured second from right) as asset manager in its retail team responsible for managing the firm’s £1.2bn retail portfolio. He joins from Savills.

JLL has appointed Vanessa Dangl (pictured right) as a surveyor in the valuations team. She joins from Birmingham City Council and will support JLL’s residential business growth strategy.

Robertson has appointed Robert Ogg as nationwide director of frameworks. As part of his UK-wide remit, he will provide strategic support and advice on local and national frameworks. Ogg has more than 25 years’ experience leading construction practices and delivering major infrastructure projects.

Law firm Ashurst has appointed Andrea Caputo as a partner in the real estate team in Milan. Caputo has more than 16 years’ transactional experience advising on the acquisition, disposal and letting of large retail, office and logistics portfolios.

Watson Farley & Williams has hired Barry Hembling as a partner in its real estate practice in London. He was previously a partner at Fladgate and has acted on high-profile projects, including the Lloyd’s Building, the London Eye, and the Sydney Tower.

Brasier Freeth has promoted Kim Wilson to associate partner and Katie Hirst has been appointed as director of marketing.

Developer LCR has recruited Nick Smithson, Elena Kosseva and Sian Stanhope as development managers; Tom Lewin-Smith and Sam Stokes as senior development managers; Emily Johnson and Barnaby Samuels as ILA co-ordinators; and Catarina Neumann as marketing co-ordinator, in London. James Howard and Alex Bowker have been appointed as development managers in the Manchester office. Adam Wisher, Ray Willis, Catherine Birks and Nick Clough have been promoted to senior development managers.

Harding Green has appointed Adrian Bedloe as a consultant and Jack Thomas as an associate in its Kensington office.

Principle Estate Management has appointed property inspector Angela Locke to oversee the Qube site inspection app, which enables users to make controlled inspections and recordings of properties.

Fisher German has promoted Sarah DeRenzy-Tomson, Ruth Ofield and Struan McDougall to partners.

Louisa Greenwood has joined Lawson and Partners as a partner in property asset management from MJ Mapp. She will be responsible for client relationships and assets.

Sarah Robinson has been promoted to partner responsible for accounts and operations, and Camilla Howe has been made an associate partner in the student investment team.

Philip Palmer has joined Elan Homes as land director for the Northern region.

David Fenton, head of central land, has retired from Knight Frank. He joined the firm in 1995

Devonshire Homes has appointed Daniel Stephenson as chief executive; David Heathcoat Amory as chairman; and Peter Cobb as deputy chairman.

Rob Firth has joined Hargreaves Land as regional development manager in its Yorkshire team. He has more than 25 years’ commercial property experience and previously held senior roles at DTZ, St James Securities and Holbeck Land.

Law firm Fladgate has appointed corporate partner Anthony Shatz from RPC. Shatz has experience advising domestic and international clients on corporate transactions covering private equity, real estate, hotels and M&A and funds-related transactions.

Savills has appointed Patricia Matias as national director of shopping centre management and leasing in Madrid.

Malcolm Hollis has appointed partner James Hodge as head of the Winchester office. He joined the firm in 2005.

Steve Potter has been appointed business director at architectural practice BDP’s Manchester studio after leading the firm’s Abu Dhabi studio. Potter will oversee the commercial development and growth of the practice.

German Estate Group has appointed Janine Bernstein as director of development operations and Frank Kußmann as senior manager in the development team, based in Frankfurt.

MDA Consulting has promoted Chris Lester from the Bristol office to director.

Mixed-use developer Montreaux has promoted Tom Webber to development director. Webber joined the firm in 2017 from Mount Anvil and has played a key role in the firm’s regeneration of the former Middlesex Business Centre in Southall.

Orlandis Capital has recruited Adam Van West as a commercial manager responsible for construction monitoring across the firm’s portfolio. He has extensive experience of construction and development management and most recently worked on Qatari Diar’s Chelsea Barracks scheme.
