With the FTSE 100 and 250 both trading down on Friday, several property-focused companies accounted for the most notable of what gains could be made.
Housebuilders Persimmon and Taylor Wimpey rose by 0.8% and 0.63% respectively, putting them in the day’s top FTSE 100 climbers.
In the FTSE 250, investor CLS topped the list of risers, its shares ending the session up by 4.1% at 215.5p, a four-month high.
Earlier this week the company said that despite a drop in profit over the first half of the year, it is confident of finding new investment opportunities in the post-coronavirus office market.
CLS was joined on the FTSE 250’s top climbers board by BMO Commercial Property Trust and Big Yellow Group.
Elsewhere, both Capital & Counties and Shaftesbury saw their shares fall again.
Having dropped by almost 4% today, Capco is barely off its decade-low, while Shaftesbury fell by 2.9%.
