Management shake-up for Grosvenor

Grosvenor’s investment and development director for its London estate, Will Bax, is leaving after more than 13 years at the company.

Bax joined Grosvenor in 2004, holding a variety of senior roles before being promoted to the board of Grosvenor Britain & Ireland in January last year.

He is leaving on 1 June to explore other opportunities and fulfil his wider career ambitions.

His departure comes as Jorge Mendonça, portfolio director for the London estate, is to take up the role of developments director at Grosvenor, taking on responsibility for the company’s strategic land and new business development.

Prior to joining Grosvenor in April 2013 as operations director for the London, Mendonça was Network Rail’s Crossrail programme director.

His new role will see him drive growth within the division, which has a pipeline of 9,000 new homes across projects including Barton Park in Oxford and Trumpington Meadows in Cambridge.

Replacing Bax and Mendonça are Grosvenor directors Anna Bond and Amelia Staveley, who are to jointly lead the London estate business and will look to extend Grosvenor’s conversations with public and private sector partners.

Bond is to become portfolio director for the London estate leading Grosvenor’s asset, investment and property management.

Staveley, capital transactions director at the company, will take on the role of director of development and placemaking.
