Malcolm Hollis Glasgow and CKD Galbraith Edinburgh showed true grit to be crowned winners of the 2015 Buccleuch Property Challenge.
They won the mixed and single-sex team titles respectively in the annual obstacle race at Drumlanrig Castle and the surrounding 120,000-acre Queensberry Estate in Dumfries & Galloway on 4 September.
This year a record 168 competitors formed 56 teams to take part in a gruelling six-hour, 50km course, which included canyoning, navigation, mountain biking, orienteering and a specially designed Highland Games.
David Peck, managing director at Buccleuch Property, said: “As a competitor, I know exactly how hard the event can be, and, believe me, this year was one of the toughest.”
The challenge raised £3,000 for Tearfund. Big plans are under way for next year’s 10th anniversary challenge.
